Eligibility and Entrance Exams

Undergraduate Programs- After sussesfullly completion of 12th (or equivalent) from a recognized board. minimum of 50-60% aggregate marks required to get admission in UG program. (specific requirements may apply for certain subjects).

Accepted entrance exams:

• Law programs- LSAT-India.
• Non-law programs- JSAT (Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test), SAT, ACT, or equivalents.
• Architecture/Design: NATA, UCEED, NID, NIFT, or JCAT (Jindal Creative Aptitude Test).
• Exemptions possible for high scores in standardized tests.

Popular UG programs include:

• Law: BA LL.B., BBA LL.B., LL.B.
• Business: BBA (Hons.), Integrated BBA+MBA.
• Liberal Arts & Humanities, Psychology, Journalism, Global Affairs, Environment & Sustainability, etc.

Postgraduate Programs- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 50-55% marks.

Accepted entrance exams:

MBA: CAT, XAT, GMAT, GRE, NMAT, or university-specific tests.

LLM: LSAT-India or equivalent.

Other MA/MSc programs: Often merit-based with possible university tests or interviews.

Selection Criteria- Selection includes academic performance, entrance scores, and interviews.

Popular PG programs include: MBA (various specializations), LLM (multiple streams like IP, Corporate Law), MA Public Policy, MSc Finance, etc.

JGU follows a holistic and merit-based approach:

Step 1. Admissions for the 2026-2027 academic year are currently open. Apply via the official portal: admissions.jgu.edu.in.

Step 2. Submit an online application with a personal statement.

Step 3. Take the applicable entrance test (if required).

Step 4. Participate in a faculty interaction (interview).
