Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences Ernakulam Placements 2026

Latest Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences placement records — average salary, highest package & top recruiters.

SNIMS does not have a traditional placement cell like engineering colleges because it is a medical institution. After finishing the 4.5-year MBBS course, every student must complete a compulsory one-year rotating internship (also called house surgeoncy) at the college’s own attached teaching hospital. This internship is mandatory to get the MBBS degree and full registration with the Medical Council. Placement support at SNIMS comes from the strong clinical training during the internship year, which helps students become confident doctors and prepares them well for further studies or practice. There is no active campus recruitment drive for fresh MBBS graduates.

During this one-year internship, students work in all major departments such as Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, etc. They get hands-on clinical experience and are paid a monthly stipend. The stipend amount is usually in the range of INR 10,000 to INR 15,000 per month.

Most students do not look for jobs immediately after internship. The majority prepare for NEET-PG to get admission into MD/MS specialities. Some graduates join private hospitals as medical officers or work in government health services. A few may continue working in SNIMS hospital itself if openings are available.

🎓 Merit-Based💰 Need-Based🏛️ Govt. Scholarship🔬 Research Fellowship

Students at SNIMS mainly get financial help through the Kerala Government’s e-Grantz scholarship scheme. Eligible SC, ST, OEC, and OBC students (with Kerala domicile) can receive full or partial tuition fee reimbursement along with a monthly stipend, depending on their category and family income. There is usually no income limit for SC/ST students, while other categories have set limits. The college helps students apply online via the e-grantz portal after admission.

Apart from this, limited merit-cum-means support or fee concessions may be available for deserving students from economically weaker backgrounds. NRI quota students are generally not eligible for these government scholarships. During the compulsory one-year internship, all students receive a monthly stipend of around INR 26,000–INR 27,000 directly from the college.
