Stanley Medical College Chennai Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Admission to Stanley Medical College is entirely merit based through NEET and centralized counselling, with no management or donation quota. For MBBS, students must first qualify NEET UG and then register for Tamil Nadu NEET UG counselling conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu. 

Eligibility Criteria 

• For MBBS, students must first qualify for NEET UG and then register for Tamil Nadu NEET UG counselling conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu. 

• For MD/MS, students must passe bachelor's degree from any recognised university with a minimum 50% aggregate marks. Must qualify NEET PG entrance with a minimum percentile. 

Online step-wise admission process to Stanley Medical College (MBBS or MD/MS)

1. Appear and qualify for NEET UG or NEET PG: Fill and submit the NEET application on the NTA website, pay the fee, and secure a score above the NEET UG or NEET PG qualifying percentage, as per category.

2. Wait for Tamil Nadu NEET counselling notification: After NEET results, the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu publishes a Tamil Nadu MBBS counselling schedule on the official DME TN portal.

3. Register for Tamil Nadu state counselling: Log in to the DME Tamil Nadu NEET  counselling portal, register with NEET roll number and 10th/12th details, and pay the counselling fee.

4. Upload documents and lock choices: Upload scanned documents (10th/12th mark sheets, NEET admit card, community certificate, domicile certificate, ID proof, etc.) and fill your college choices, making sure to list Stanley Medical College in your preferred order.

5. Get seat allotment and allotment order: After rounds of counselling, download your seat allotment order showing Stanley Medical College as allotted college, along with reporting date and documents list.

6. Report to Medical College with originals: Within the given time window, go to Stanley Medical College with all original certificates, NEET scorecard, allotment order, and passport-size photos for document verification.

7. Pay fees and confirm admission: Pay the prescribed MBBS course and hostel fees at the college’s fee counter, submit the fee receipt, and complete biometric formalities to get an admission confirmation letter.

8. Join the college and begin classes: After verification and fee payment, join the college on the declared MBBS commencement date and follow the orientation and academic schedule given by the college.
