Surabhi Institute of Medical Sciences does not follow a traditional campus recruitment model like engineering or management colleges. Instead, the placement process for MBBS graduates is driven by individual career progression, clinical competence, and performance in licensing or competitive examinations. After completing the 4.5 years of academic study and the compulsory 1-year rotating internship at the college’s attached teaching hospital, graduates primarily pursue roles as medical officers, resident doctors, or further specialization through NEET-PG.

Key Functions of Placement Cell:

• Organizing and monitoring the Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) at the college’s attached 300+ bedded teaching hospital, ensuring students gain hands-on exposure across major clinical departments.

• Providing career counselling and guidance to students on various career pathways such as government medical officer posts in Telangana, private hospital jobs, clinical practice, or pursuing postgraduate (MD/MS) specialization through NEET-PG.

• Assisting students with internship stipends and smooth transition to residency or jobs.

• Organizing workshops, seminars, and guest lectures on PG entrance exam preparation (NEET-PG/NEXT), research opportunities, and skill development.

• Maintaining alumni networks to help current students with mentorship, job references, and opportunities in government health services, corporate hospitals, or abroad.

Surabhi Institute of Medical Sciences offers scholarships primarily through Telangana State Government schemes. The college management actively facilitates and ensures timely processing of all eligible government scholarships and fee reimbursements. There are limited institute-level merit-based scholarships for deserving students.

Major Scholarship details:

• Telangana State Post-Matric Scholarship & Fee Reimbursement (ePASS): Eligible students from SC, ST, BC, EBC, Minority, and Economically Weaker Sections can avail full or partial fee reimbursement depending on their category, family income, and academic performance. This is one of the most availed schemes at the institute.

• Merit-cum-Means Scholarships: Awarded to students with excellent academic records (high NEET scores or college performance) combined with financial need. The college provides additional support or tuition discounts in select cases.

• Other National/State Scholarships: Students can also apply for schemes such as the All India Pre-Medical Scholarship Test, Nirankari Rajmata Scholarship, or minority community scholarships.
