Travancore Medical College does not have a typical placement system like engineering colleges. In medical colleges, the focus is mainly on clinical training and internships rather than campus recruitment. Students complete their MBBS and then move into internships, hospital jobs, or higher studies. The college provides strong clinical exposure through its attached hospital, which helps students gain practical experience. Most graduates find opportunities in hospitals, either in the same institution or other healthcare centres. 

The internship at Travancore Medical College is a compulsory part of the MBBS course and plays the biggest role in skill development. Students complete a one-year rotating internship after finishing their academic course. During this time, they work in different departments of the college hospital and sometimes district hospitals, gaining hands-on experience with real patients.

Scholarships are mainly government schemes processed through Kerala e-Grantz portal. The college facilitates but does not offer many institutional scholarships. If government scholarship is not sanctioned, the student must pay the full fee. No automatic fee concession for general category students. Limited merit-based waivers may be available in rare cases for very high NEET scorers. NRI quota students are generally not eligible for most government scholarships.
