Travancore Medical College Kollam Scholarships: Eligibility & Scholarship Amount 2026

Scholarships are mainly government schemes processed through Kerala e-Grantz portal. The college facilitates but does not offer many institutional scholarships. If government scholarship is not sanctioned, the student must pay the full fee. No automatic fee concession for general category students. Limited merit-based waivers may be available in rare cases for very high NEET scorers. NRI quota students are generally not eligible for most government scholarships.

1. e-Grantz Post Matric Scholarship (Kerala Government)

   • For SC/ST/OEC/OBC students (Kerala domicile)

   • Benefits: Full or partial tuition fee reimbursement + maintenance grant

   • Eligibility: Family income limit as per category (no limit for SC/ST in many cases)

2. Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST

   • Full fee reimbursement (as per government norms)

   • Family income usually below INR 2.5 lakh

3. OEC Scholarship

   • Special concession for Other Eligible Communities

   • Many students receive around INR 50,000 per year

4. Merit-cum-Means Scholarship

   • For economically weaker students with good academic performance

   • Partial fee waiver possible

5. Minority Scholarship (Muslim Minority)

   • TMC being a Muslim Minority Institution, eligible Muslim students can avail state/central minority scholarships

6. Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship & Other State Scholarships

   • For meritorious students from economically backward families

7. Internship Stipend

   • During the compulsory 1-year house surgeoncy (internship): INR 10,000 per month (paid by the college)
