Admission Process for University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University, Chandigarh
- Programs Offered (5-year Integrated Honours courses, approved by Bar Council of India): B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.)
- Eligibility Criteria: Passed 10+2 examination from a recognised board with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/BC/PwD candidates). Candidates qualifying 10+2 through Open University system without basic qualifications are not eligible. No upper age limit specified.
- Selection Process: Admissions are based on the PU UGLAW Entrance Test (Panjab University Undergraduate Law Entrance Exam).
- Merit is calculated with 50% weightage to entrance test marks and 50% to Class 12 (+2) aggregate marks. Preliminary merit list released, followed by final merit list after objections. Shortlisted candidates participate in counselling (online/offline) for seat allotment.

- Register, fill the form, upload documents (marksheets, category certificates if applicable), and pay the application fee.

The Institute also exposes its students to the 'law in action' through compulsory internships with Hon'ble Judges of Supreme Court, Punjab and Haryana High Court, eminent lawyers, legal firms, various commissions and NGOs, etc.
CDC was established for expanding the outreach of the Institute by monetizing on the vibrant potential of its students. It works effortlessly towards building connections with professional experts and fostering existing connections within the legal fraternity to meet the diverse aspirations of the students. CDC makes engage students with corporate firms, litigation, NGOs, Civil Society organizations. In addition to this, CDC also aids students with LLM and academia. Compulsory internships are a key feature, placing students with Supreme Court and High Court judges, eminent lawyers, legal firms, commissions, and NGOs.
