VTU University offers major programmes in Aerospace, Electrical, Civil, Electronics & Communication, Textile Technology, Computer Science, and more. The University offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and PG Diploma programmes. The University accepts both merit and entrance exam scores for admission to its regular programs. Additionally, the university conducts its own entrance exam known as VTU’s Entrance Test for direct admissions. Eligibility Criteria:-

UG Top programs:

• B.Tech/B.E. - Students applying to these programs must have completed their 12th board with 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the mandatory subjects. Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology, or Electronics are some of the accepted subjects. 5% relaxation is for the SC/ST students. 
• Exams: Students must qualify for KCET, COMEDK, UGET, or JEE Main for direct admission. 
• B.Arch - Students applying to this program must have completed their 12th board with 505 marks. 
• Exams: students must qualify for NATA or JEE Main Paper 2 for direct admission. 
• B.Plan - Students applying to this program must have completed their 12th board. 

PG Top programs:

• M.Tech - Students applying to this program must have completed their bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology with 50% marks. 
  Exam: Students must qualify for the PGCET or GATE exam for direct admission. 
• MBA - Students applying to this program must have completed their bachelor’s degree with 50% marks. 
  Exams: Students must qualify for the KMAT, CAT, MAT, CMAT or Karnatak PGCET exam for direct admission. 
• PhD - Students applying to this program must hold a master’s degree with 60% aggregate marks in the relevant area. 
  Exams: Students must qualify for UGC-NET, GATE, CSIR NET, or VTU-ETR.

• Students must visit the official website and register with correct details by providing basic details. 
• After registration, students can complete the application by filling in the academic merit and entrance exam scorecard. 
• Students can complete the application process with the payment of the application fee. 
• Shortlisting of students will be based on the evaluation of academic merit and valid entrance exam scores. 
• For PhD programs, students must qualify for the VTU Eligibility Test for Research (VTU-ETR) or other national exams. 
• Shortlisted students will be called for counselling sessions, group discussion, or a written test. 
• Students will be required to pay the academic fee to complete the admission process.
