Indian Institute of Management Sambalpur accepts entrance exam scores for admission. The national entrance exams, which are accepted, are CAT/GRE/GMAT/GATE/JRF(UGC/CSIR), and the RAT research aptitude test. Eligibility Criteria:-
- MBA: Students required to have 50% in a bachelor’s degree and 45% for SC/ST students.
- MDP: This program is for working professionals and requires 50% in a bachelor’s degree.
- PhD: This program for a bachelor’s degree with 55%, and a master’s degree with 60%.
- B.S. in Management: students must have a 70% in the 12th board, and 65% for the SC/ST/PwD students. CUET UG Scores are accepted for admission.
- B.S. in Data Science: students must have 70% in the 12th board, and 65% for the SC/ST/PwD students. IIT JEE (Mains) scores are accepted for admission.
Selection process for Admission 2026:-
- Students must qualify CAT exam to be eligible for admission.
- For B.S. programme admission, students must qualify in the CUET PG or IIT JEE Mains exam.
- Students must fill out the application form and will be shortlisted based on various parameters such as CAT score, prior academic record and performance, work experience, and performance in the personal interview.
- Shortlisted students will be further required to qualify in the Pre-Personal Interview, which is of 80 marks:
- CAT score- 40 marks
- Class 10 academic performance- 3 marks
- Class 12 academic performance- 3 marks
- Graduation academic performance- 4 marks
- Work experience- 20 marks
- Gender diversity- 10 marks
- Further, students must attend a personal interview, and the final merit list will be out.

IIM Sambalpur placement statistics have been increasing with an overall placement rate of 100%. The placement cell of the IIM Sambalpur is an important part of placing students and starting their careers on a good note. Need-Based Financial Assistance (NBFA): This scholarship is given based on the family income and the student’s academic performance.
- If the family income is up to INR 1.05 Lakh, then the student will be given a 100% academic fee waiver.
- If the family income is in the range of INR 1.05 Lakh and INR 3 Lakh, then students will be given a 75% academic fee waiver.
- If the family income is in the range of INR 3 Lakh and INR 4.5 Lakh, the students will be given a 50% academic fee waiver.

- This scholarship is primarily for students with disabilities above 40%, and has valid proof documents for the same. Furthermore, the family income must not be above INR 6 Lakh. These are some benefits of this scholarship:-

- Purchase of computer and accessories: ₹30,000 (one-time)
