National Institute of Fashion Designing Hyderabad Scholarships: Eligibility & Scholarship Amount 2026

NIFD Hyderabad offers limited but targeted scholarship support to make fashion and design education accessible, especially for deserving and economically challenged students. Unlike government institutions, it focuses on merit-based financial assistance through tests. Scholarships are not automatically considered and are granted on a competitive basis. 

Key Scholarship Details:

• Merit Scholarship/Scholarship Test Scheme: Offered to support talented students aspiring to pursue fashion design but facing financial constraints. To avail this benefit, students must appear for a Scholarship Test, which is conducted periodically. 
• Need-Based Fee Waiver: It offers need-based support for students from low-income families, primarily tied to merit test performance rather than pure means-tested schemes.

• Other/External Options: Students can apply for national/state scholarships via NSP if eligible. 

NOTE: Scholarships are limited in number and competitive, and hence, priority is given to high performers in the test.
